Explore the sample portal

Availability: development preview. This sample workspace uses synthetic data. It does not send letters, email, payments, or changes to your real account. Use Log in for the connected workspace described in Account workspace. Use Open existing app for uploads, edits, proof approval, and delivery.

Open /preview, or choose Explore the sample workspace on the sign-in page. The main portal URL opens the account workspace.

Prepare a sample thank-you

  1. Open Run another job from Dashboard or Thank-You Letters.
  2. Give the job a name. Choose Just exploring? Preview with sample data →, or select a CSV containing synthetic records only. Keep it under 100 KB and 250 records.
  3. Match each column to name, address, city, state, postal code, and amount. Fix any errors before continuing. Amounts must be positive decimals without currency symbols or thousands separators.
  4. Choose a default letter template. Enabled sample workflow rules can select another template for matching gifts.
  5. Review recipients using the preview selector. The text is an example, not a print-ready document.
  6. Check the review confirmation, choose Approve sample, then Save sample approval. The new job appears in your letter list. You can download sample text from its detail view; nothing is sent.

Changing the source, mapping, template, or rules requires a new proof review. Replace file starts the upload step again. Your draft stays with its organization when you switch workspaces and survives a reload in the same browser tab. Closing the tab ends the sample session. If the browser cannot save changes, a warning explains the limitation.

Explore the workspace

  • Letter Templates: browse the built-in examples or record a Word file reference. New references store a file name only and cannot generate a proof yet.
  • Workflow Rules: add and reorder sample template-selection rules. The first enabled matching rule wins.
  • Inventory: try adding sample stock. This does not place an order.
  • Support: save and resolve sample conversations. No message or notification is sent.
  • Reports and Activity: review sample counts and changes in this tab.
  • Settings: reset both sample organizations after confirmation.

Dashboard panels marked Prototype example or Prototype preview show fixed examples, not live account activity. The eMarie briefing is not AI output, and its call/drafting actions are unavailable. Letter jobs, reports, and activity elsewhere reflect the sample changes you make in this tab.

The organization selector lets you explore two independent sample workspaces. Staff preview adds a client directory and private sample notes. This selector is a demonstration of navigation, not a login or an access grant. Staff-only notes do not appear in client preview.

Billing, trials, live integrations, AI assistance, real team invitations, document rendering, and delivery are unavailable in the sample portal. Backend service availability does not change this limitation.
