Set it up myself

Availability: local preview; Dev release checks are still open.

After you sign in, ThankTank restores your organization. If you can edit it, ThankTank opens guided setup the first time. You can also choose Guided setup from the menu.

Select Start guided setup, then follow these steps:

1. Upload & triage. Review Settings first. Pause publishing while you set up: an uploaded CSV can start processing when publishing is active. Upload your donor CSV, then use CSV schema to check the fields your letters need.
2. Letter templates. Upload your DOCX or Word 97 DOC file and check its preview and merge fields.
3. Workflow rules. Review and test which records to skip, which letter to use, and who gets notices.
4. Packages & fulfillment. Check the envelope, inserts and delivery settings. Ask an administrator for help if you cannot edit them.
5. Processing path. Review publishing settings, then choose Prepare and review your first job to make proofs. Check the proofs before approving delivery.

Save each form before you continue. Save draft saves your place in the guide, not unfinished form fields. Do this later returns to the dashboard. Your place stays on your account for this organization, even after you sign out. Open Guided setup to return.

Finish guided setup closes the guide. It does not approve, send or print letters, or confirm that all settings are correct. You can review the steps again at any time.

If progress cannot save, your current step stays open. Try again. If another tab changed it, use Reload saved progress to load that tab’s saved place.
