Start and resume a run

Availability: implemented and checked locally. It is not in Dev yet; the current Dev preview still uses guided setup.

Open Runs, then choose New run. Each run has its own draft. Starting another one does not replace work you have saved.

  1. Data file. Upload a CSV or pick a saved data file.
  2. Letter template. Upload a Word .docx file or pick a saved template.
  3. Field mapping. Match each letter field to your data. Review the samples before saving.
  4. Letter editor. Save your changes and check the preview.
  5. Proofs. Open the saved job and check its output before approval.

Each run uses its own copy of your data, so its mapping does not change another run. Preparing proofs does not approve or send letters. Once prepared, the draft stays linked to its job; choose New run for another set. See Proofs and delivery for those steps.

To take a break, save changes in the current step, then choose Close draft to return to Runs. Choose Continue draft beside the run you want. Drafts follow your account and selected organization. Reloading the page currently asks you to sign in again; your saved drafts remain available afterward. Another user does not see your unfinished drafts. Job history shows your organization’s jobs that you have access to. Prepared runs offer View run and Review generated letters.

Data Files and Letter Templates open your saved libraries directly. Organization setup holds the separate setup guide; you do not need to restart it for each run.

For the existing rule-based process, open Prepare from workflow rules in Runs. This uses your organization’s rules to choose letters, rather than the letter picked in a run.

If a file or template changes, check the mapping again. Save or discard edits before leaving a page. If another tab changed the draft, reload its saved version before trying again.
